This international event, funded by Erasmus+, is a great opportunity for trainees, trainers, and staff to develop creative skills and work in multicultural teams. Find out how our trainees are representing the school in this European competition.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>ETIC_Algarve<\/strong> is participating for the first time in the <strong>VET Skills Competition<\/strong>, an initiative funded by the <strong>Erasmus+ Program<\/strong>, which takes place between <strong>March 17 and 21 <\/strong>in<strong> Verona, Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>This event represents a great <strong>opportunity for graduates<\/strong>, <strong>trainers and school staff<\/strong>, allowing everyone involved to explore new challenges, work in international teams and develop innovative projects within their areas of expertise.<\/p>\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<noscript class=\"loading-lazy\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"175\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eticalgarve.com\/files\/uploads\/2025\/10\/vetskilss1-1-300x175-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6139\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/noscript>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is VET Skills Competition?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The<strong> VET Skills Competition<\/strong> is an annual challenge where students from <strong>creative fields \u2013 design, video, photography, multimedia, animation and others<\/strong> &#8211; collaborate in teams to create projects inspired by a relevant theme.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The theme of this edition: \u201cOver-Tourism\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 one of the most impactful challenges in the global tourism sector. Participants will explore creative ways of approaching this problem, applying their technical skills to develop innovative solutions.<\/p>\n\n<p>The competition is organized by a group of European schools, and each year one of the partners takes over the organization. <strong>In 2024<\/strong>, the host is <strong>ENAC Verona<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Participating entities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enacveneto.it\/contatti\/sede-verona\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ENAC \u2013 Verona<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<em>(This year&#8217;s host)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mediencollege.berlin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>MedienCollege<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<em>(Germany)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/iespuertabonita.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IES Puerta Bonita Madrid<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<em>(Spain)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/etic.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ETIC<\/a> (Lisbon)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ETIC_Algarve<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(Portugal)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Representation ETIC_Algarve<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>This first participation of <strong>ETIC_Algarve<\/strong> in this European event reflects the school&#8217;s commitment to providing <strong>enriching<\/strong> <strong>international experiences<\/strong> to its graduates, trainers and team.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The trainees representing ETIC_Algarve:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The school took <strong>four finalist graduates of the two-year technical courses<\/strong>, selected to represent the creativity and talent of ETIC_Algarve in this international competition:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Isabella Santos<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/eticalgarve.com\/curso\/realizacao-cinema-tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Film and TV Production<\/strong><\/a> course (23|25)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jo\u00e3o Rios<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/eticalgarve.com\/curso\/criacao-musical-producao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"8:7\">Music<\/span> C<span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"0:7\">reation<\/span><span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"17:8\">, Production<\/span> <span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"26:1\">and<\/span> S<span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"40:3\">ound<\/span> T<span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"28:8\">echniques<\/span><\/strong><\/a> course (23|25)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nazar\u00e9 Andr\u00e9<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/eticalgarve.com\/curso\/design-comunicacao-multimedia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Communication and Multimedia Design<\/strong><\/a> course (23|25)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jo\u00e3o Silva<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/eticalgarve.com\/curso\/fotografia-profissional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Professional Photography<\/strong><\/a> course (23|25)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"2:254\">The team is accompanied by <strong>Jos\u00e9 Jesus, trainer of the <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eticalgarve.com\/curso\/area\/video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Video area<\/a><\/strong>, <span class=\"YPkS7KbdpWfGdYKd3QB9\" data-src-align=\"2:254\">who, together with other trainers from the different participating schools, will guide the groups throughout the week to ensure that the projects developed reach their maximum potential.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, she is part of the <strong>Virginia In\u00e1cio<\/strong> delegation, responsible for the <strong>Department of professional integration and Erasmus+ at ETIC_Algarve<\/strong>, which reinforces the importance of the school&#8217;s participation in this initiative:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>\u201cETIC_Algarve has been part of the Erasmus+ Program for 10 years, and events such as the VET Skills Competition are essential for us to provide our trainees with more opportunities to gain international experience, learn new ways of working, and develop skills that prepare them for a more competitive professional future.
