International Certification Tutor Music Production and Sound & Music Assistant and Trainer

Born in Bolivia, raised in Portugal. Sound and music production have always been part of his life.
From a personal hobby whilst studying programming as a teenager, right up to the present day at ETIC_Algarve, where he works as a sound technician, trainer and tutor on the international Music Production certification course, in partnership with Teesside University.
Ricardo Melgar was a student on the Creative, Music Production and Sound Techniques course (’20/’22) and attended the Top-Up Year at ETIC in Lisbon, in partnership with Solent University, where he graduated with a degree in “Popular Music Production”.
Upon completing his course at ETIC_Algarve, Ricardo was awarded an ERASMUS+ mobility grant, which enabled him to spend three months in Prague, in the Czech Republic. Amongst various projects, he took part as a technician and sound assistant at the Composers Summit Prague 2023, which featured composers such as Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Metal Gear Solid, Shrek, Gladiator II) and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
A fanatic of audio manipulation and sampling, he is also a music producer for Jungle, Drum&Bass, Vaporwave and Hip-Hop.
