Since 2015, ETIC_Algarve has been able to offer mobility opportunities to trainees/students and employees through the ERASMUS+ programme, via projects approved and funded by the European Commission.
In 2021, ETIC_Algarve saw its application for ERASMUS ACCREDITATION 2021-2027 approved, thus ensuring the continuity of the work carried out until then, which has already enabled European mobility for professional internships for around 200 trainees and mobility to leading schools in the creative industries for around 55 trainers and technical-pedagogical staff.
Based on the experience gained and the network of European partner companies and schools it has established in more than 15 European countries, which has already earned this school an Erasmus+ Good Practice Award in 2018 for the successful execution and implementation of projects, ETIC_Algarve presented an Erasmus Plan based on the four basic principles of Erasmus quality:
Inclusion and Diversity;
Digital Education;
Educação Digital;
Active participation in the Erasmus network of organisations.
Through its participation in the Erasmus+ Programme over the last 10 years, ETIC_Algarve has gained prominence in the Algarve region and beyond as a training organisation in the creative and technological fields and has become an asset to the sector, both through its trainers, who are active professionals in the fields they teach, and through the trainees it trains and places in the national and/or international job market, always emphasising the importance of European professional experience; Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility; the pursuit of higher education for personal and professional growth, as well as the enhancement of the curriculum.
The ERASMUS+ Programme for ETIC_Algarve is therefore a benchmark, a symbol of growth and recognition.
In 2018, his work was recognised with the 2018 Good Practice Award by the National Agency Erasmus+ Education and Training, a distinction given at the time for his four years of work on the programme, namely for its successful implementation and physical and financial management.
ERASMUS+ Internship Grants
ETIC_Algarve’s Erasmus+ Internship Scholarships offer final-year students of Technical Courses in the areas of Sound and Music, Video, Animation and Video Games, Design, Marketing and Communication, Photography, and Programming the opportunity to participate in European mobility projects. Through Erasmus+ grants, our recent graduates can undertake internships at international partner companies, gaining practical experience and creative skills and enhancing their educational journey.
How do ERASMUS+ grants work?
ETIC_Algarve finalists can apply for ERASMUS+ Internship Scholarships through a Creative Challenge, launched annually in mid-May.
This Creative Challenge is open to all final-year students and requires them to submit creative projects in their field of study and on a theme (defined annually) related to Europe.
The ERASMUS+ grants include:
3-month internship at a partner company
Travel

Since 2015, 197 recent graduates have had the opportunity to participate in an ERASMUS+ Professional Internship experience in:
Spain

Convinced that ERASMUS+ promotes personal and institutional growth and fulfilment, it is our aim to maintain the scholarship allocation ratio at 10% of students enrolled in technical courses. Labas!🇱🇹
And so came my last report of this incredible experience!
Now I’m back in Portugal and I’m missing everything I felt while I was away. This experience has always been in my heart, but that doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to Lithuania, as one day I plan to return to present all my favorite sites to my family.
I loved getting to know the culture there and all the people I met during this part and I hope I can stay in touch with them for a long time! (Besides missing the food there a lot…)
I managed to do a decent project and complete everything of my learning agreement, which makes me very proud and happy, as I was very afraid of not being able to do it since I was doing something that is my area of true knowledge, but leaving my area of comfort taught me a lot, as well as my adaptation and ability to learn new things, in addition to, see how I can deal with situations that are not so favorable at my disposal and how I can deal with them.
When I returned I had quite a few surprises prepared by my family not to mention events I participated in, but now it’s time to work since I was away for 3 months.
Many thanks to Etic Algarve and Erasmus + for this incredible experience!
And so I say goodbye once and for all, until one day Lithuania!
End of report!
Érica Faria, Trainee of the Digital and Social Marketing Media Technical Course 23|24. Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia 2025.
Now that I’m back, I realize how much I’ve grown. I grew in experience, in autonomy, in perspective. I take with me more than photographs I take stories, people, learning and a version of myself that did not exist before this adventure.
Thank you, Prague. You were pure magic — and now you are a part of me.
This experience has given me much more than I imagined. I was fortunate to meet wonderful people, to strengthen friendships I already brought with me, and above all, to meet a new version of myself. A safer person, more mature, more aware of the world and of himself.
The “post-Prague” promises to be better than anything I ever imagined. I feel ready for what comes next, for the end of the academic cycle and for the beginning of adulthood. I carry with me unforgettable memories, deep learning and a city that will stay forever in my heart.

This Erasmus+ experience has proved absolutely unforgettable not only at professional, but also social and personal. I had the opportunity to discover new horizons, visit countries I had never met before, such as Poland and Germany, and contact with cultures and traditions that have broadened my view of the world.
João Figueiredo, Trainee from the Course of Musical Creation, Production and Sound Techniques 22|24. Erasmus+ Internship in Madrid, Spain, 2025.
Erasmus is an enriching experience that I highly recommend to all students.
Madrid, in particular, is an endless city, full of life and excitement, offering a unique combination of culture, fun and opportunities for personal growth.
João Santos, Trainee from the Course Communication and Multimedia Design 22|24, Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia, 2024.
And so ended our journey in plague
Thank you to ETIC_Algarve for this opportunity, it was very remarkable and one of the best experiences I had. We live in a beautiful and super welcoming city like Prague, I met amazing people and worked in a healthy and super different environment.
I met other countries, other cultures and above all I was able to accomplish my goal which was to get out of my comfort zone and evolve as a creative.
Where I worked at, helped me a lot with that, when I’m put to the test in a context and on a project that’s completely different from what I’m used to.
I leave a small note that for those who have the opportunity to do Erasmus, do not think twice, it is a unique opportunity and I am sure they will enjoy it as much as I do.
není sbohem, ale brzy na viděnou
Julia Bucci, Trainee of the Digital Marketing and Social Media Course, Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia.
Hi!
Back home in theory, in practice I am in Spanish lands enjoying the last days before returning to the routine.
The Erasmus experience, in addition to being extremely rewarding professionally, was also a big step forward personally.
In these 3 months I had the opportunity to think more about the direction I want for my life. I met incredible people, traveled to wonderful places, collected memories that I will cherish forever.
I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in the company I interned, everyone was receptive and kind. I clarified many doubts I had when I finished the Digital Marketing course and was able to apply much of what was taught.
I would definitely repeat this experience as many times as necessary. I felt a lot of homesickness, but no homesickness equates to a heart full of satisfaction and excitement about meeting something for the first time
Thank you ETIC_Algarve, thank you Erasmus!”
Luís Raimundo, Trainee from the Graphic Design Course 23|24. Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia.
This stage in Prague comes to an end and, looking back, I see how much I have grown in maturity, responsibility and in the way of being in the world. This city marked me from various forms and, more than an academic experience, it was an intense and transformative personal experience.
Looking back and reviewing everything I experienced during these months in Prague is realizing that this experience was much more than an internship or a trip. It was a rare opportunity to get out of the bubble, to discover new ways of being, working and living. It wasn’t always easy and there were challenges, routines, moments of doubt, but all of this contributed to something bigger, real and palpable growth.
I met people from different cultures, shared homes, ideas, meals, and even silences. I had creative freedom to develop projects during my internship and time to discover the city at my own pace. I learned both outside the professional context and within it, in conversations at the end of the day, at picnics, on the graffitied streets that became daily paths.
I come back more aware, safer and with stories I will carry forever. Prague was not just a place, it was a rhythm, an energy, a turning point.
Patrícia Daniel, Trainee of the Musical Creation, Production and Sound Techniques Course 22|24. Erasmus+ Internship in Vilnius, Lithuania.
With a great grip on my heart I bid farewell to this wonderful opportunity that was the Erasmus + program and to all the people with whom I interacted during my stay and with whom I created great bonds.
Any intern who stays here will be able to work and develop excellent skills, which the job market demands; they will have more confidence, just as their workflow will become better (they will start working faster and with better quality, with each passing day); they will learn a lot and return home with a rich portfolio, due to working for several real clients, such as IKEA, Google, Maxima, Telia and more.
So, finally, I say goodbye, strongly thanking the European Commission, which has a partnership with ETIC_Algarve, for the great opportunity (for which they finance it) and for having made this experience something that can only be experienced once, with everything facilitated and within our reach!
Viso gero!
Pedro Mello Trainee from the Video Games Course 20|23, he completed the Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia.
Dobry den,
The key word to describe Erasmus is “experience”, and I believe we all made the best use of it.
For my part, I am extremely grateful to ETIC_Algarve and Visualio for these three months. Being able to experience a completely new culture and part of the world.
I made new friends, work contacts, and moments that I carry into life. I traveled to and visited two new countries, tried new and delicious foods, and learned more about how the world and people work.
I’m super happy for every moment. The good ones, of seeing new things, the bad ones, of getting lost, and even the most monotonous ones, everyday life, waking up, going to work, taking the train home.
I also thank you for going to Prague, a wonderful city, very organized and full of stories. A city I will definitely return to one day.
Now (starts playing What i’ve done – Linkin Park) is to continue evolving professionally and achieving our dreams. Thank you to everyone, especially my Erasmus colleagues, with whom I have lived and lived during these last three months.”
Renata Canas, Trainee of the Communication and Multimedia Design Course 22|24. Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia, 2025.
The months passed and bonds were created: colleagues became friends, friends became family. Between dinners, teas and rants, we always support each other.
Professionally, I’ve grown huge. I worked with Czech and world-renowned brands, collaborated with a team of 20 people and learned. Adaptation was difficult, especially in communication, but we evolved. Thanks to my commitment, I was able to maintain the position remotely, which makes me proud.

Erasmus+ changes anyone’s life. If anyone is reading this and has any doubts about going, just go! Get out of your comfort zone and enjoy what the world has to give you!

Rúben Caeiro, a Trainee of the Professional Photography Course, completed the Erasmus+ Internship in Berlin.
…This adventure is almost over, and the balance couldn’t be more positive. I had the opportunity to intern at an amazing company, surrounded by professional, versatile, humane people and good luck.
… In total, there were more than 70 photo shoots, thousands of shots… hundreds of kilometers, hundreds of hours in front of the computer editing, and in the end, only one feeling: that of duty fulfillment. I faced ERASMUS as an opportunity for personal and professional growth and in the end, everything always works out. …
Soraia Silva, Trainee of the Digital Marketing and Social Media Course, completed the Erasmus+ Internship in Prague, Czechia.
And in the blink of an eye I’m back in Portugal…
One of the best experiences of my life ends and I find myself returning to my routine again. To a routine that makes you miss and recognize the transformation that Erasmus allowed to happen.
These 3 months have been an emotion rollercoaster, experiences and dreams. I met incredible people, visited beautiful places, lived in a new culture, climate and country, ate things I had never tried, worked on incredible projects, was valued for what I did and how I did it and … and I was genuinely Happy!
I never imagined Erasmus‘ experience would be so unique and memorable. I never imagined returning with such strong friendships, or even missing those who stayed there.
In fact, the Erasmus programme has the power to transform and give a new direction to our lives, which only those who pass through there and experience this opportunity in its entirety can really perceive.
Thank you Erasmus! Thank you ETIC_Algarve!
Vitorino Mestre, Trainee from the Graphic Design Course 23|24. Erasmus+ Internship in Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2025.
During my Erasmus experience, I have grown a lot on a personal and academic level. Being away from home taught me to value alone time and independence. This autonomy not only strengthened my confidence, but also allowed me to appreciate the value of activities done alone.
I was fortunate to meet people from around the world and explore incredible places I never imagined visiting. Every new experience, from city trips to weekend getaways, has contributed to my growth and learning.
Furthermore, the diversity of cultural and gastronomic experiences broadened my horizons and provided me with unforgettable moments.
Although I lived this experience mostly alone, it was actually a source of growth. Independence and adaptation to new situations were essential for my personal development.
Professionally, this experience proved to be enlightening. Meeting people from different fields helped me better define my future aspirations and goals.
If there was a restart button to relive this journey exactly as it was, without changing anything, I would load it without hesitation. This experience was truly transformative.
