Colorfoto and ETIC_Algarve are joining forces in Faro on 8 April 2026 for a day dedicated to imagery, creativity and the production of visual content. Throughout the day, there will be a photography masterclass and a video masterclass, designed for students, professionals and enthusiasts of visual creation who wish to learn more, try out new approaches and gain an insight into real-world practices in the field.

A day exploring photography and video at ETIC_Algarve

This partnership between ETIC_Algarve and Colorfoto has been established with the aim of providing a practical and up-to-date learning experience, focusing on the tools, techniques and methodologies that form part of the day-to-day work of visual design professionals.

Over the course of the two sessions, participants will have the opportunity to discover new ways of working with images, gain a better understanding of different production setups, and learn how to adapt technical solutions to real-world projects, in both photography and video.

Photography masterclass focusing on portable lighting

This morning, there will be a photography masterclass led by Eduardo Lima, sales manager at the Colorfoto shop in Lisbon, who has over 30 years’ experience in the sector.

The session will focus on the benefits of using a portable lighting system and will demonstrate how this type of solution can improve image quality in a variety of settings. From portraits to outdoor shoots or digital content creation, lighting plays a vital role in the final result and can completely transform a production.

Throughout the session, participants will be shown practical examples and will learn how to put together versatile setups that are easy to transport and effective in meeting a range of creative needs.

Video masterclass on podcast production

In the afternoon, there will be a video masterclass led by Ricardo Dionísio, a professional with extensive experience in audiovisual production and a former lecturer at ETIC_Algarve.

The theme of this session will be the production of video podcasts, a format that is becoming increasingly common on digital platforms and increasingly relevant for brands, creators and communicators. The session will cover key aspects for anyone wishing to create high-quality content, including camera setup, lighting, audio recording and setting up a simple, functional set.

It will be an excellent opportunity to learn how to build a solid foundation for video content projects, even with limited resources and practical solutions.
