Live InSight returns to ETIC_Algarve with a concert by L.a.r

Live InSight is back at ETIC_Algarve on 3 February at 5 pm, with a concert by guest band L.a.r. Admission is free, the atmosphere is relaxed and capacity is limited, so if you really want to be there, it’s best to reserve your place now.

Who are L.a.r and what can you expect from this concert?

L.a.r define themselves as a group of introverts motivated by the search for expression. United by this quest, they decided to stop performing only for the walls of their rehearsal room and started giving concerts. What was initially an instrumental band, after their first concert, vocalist Miriam Evaristo joined the band, and from then on they found their sound.

L.a.r promise to continue exploding musically until the inevitable death of the Universe, exploring everything that comes to mind.

  • Sofia Shramko — bass
  • Tomé Cabrita — drums/percussion
  • Miriam Evaristo — vocals

This Live InSight is also a true “homecoming”: guitarist Gonçalo Santos, a former ETIC_Algarve student on the Music Creation, Production and Sound Techniques course, took part in several editions of these concerts as a student, as part of his coursework. Now he returns to the stage as a musician, giving students who are following the same path the opportunity to turn this concert into a practical exercise, just as he did during his training.

What is Live InSight and why is it more than just a concert?

Live InSight is a series of live concerts that promotes Algarve art and culture, providing a stage for local artists and bands and creating moments of closeness between the audience, creators and community.

More than just a concert, Live InSight is Another Perspective on Teaching that promotes practical learning outside the classroom, where trainees work together and actively participate in all stages of a live event, just as they will in the creative industries job market, where they will be integrated in the future.

The following technical courses will participate in this concert:

Musical Creation, Production and Sound Techniques that set up the venues, are responsible for all technical aspects of the concert and live sound recording.

And Professional Photography and Production, Film and TV, which deal with capturing images of the concert through photography and video.
