The ability to bring an idea to light
ETIC_Algarve’s Professional Photography Course is a practical and creative training programme designed for those who wish to develop technical and artistic skills in the field of photography. If you are looking for a professional photography course with a strong practical focus, here you will learn to master the photographic process from planning through to shooting, editing and post-production, developing projects tailored to different visual and professional contexts.
Throughout this course, you will develop skills in digital photography, photographic lighting, visual composition and image editing, learning how to create photographs with purpose, consistency and professional quality.
We bring industry experience into the course, with tutors who are currently working in the field, to ensure that the training is up-to-date, rigorous and in line with the real-world challenges of the photography sector. On this photography course in the Algarve, you will develop a creative and technical approach that reflects the realities of the professional market and build a solid and versatile portfolio.
On the Professional Photography Course, you will learn:
- Advertising, fashion, events and photojournalism photography
- Portrait, artistic nude and architectural/real estate photography
- Post-production and image editing techniques
- Lighting and photographic composition for different environments
- Using photography as a form of expression, visual communication, and art.
With a creative and market-oriented approach, this photography course provides you with the tools you need to build a solid and versatile photography portfolio, which is essential for turning photography into a career.
Upon completing this Professional Photography Technical Course, you will undertake a 480-hour Curricular Internship, an essential step in applying the skills acquired throughout the course and gaining practical experience in the job market.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in a European ERASMUS+ mobility project, enjoying an enriching international experience.

Specialisation Opportunities
After completing the two-year course, you will be able to specialise by undertaking a third year of specialisation at ETIC_Algarve, which will enable you to obtain a British International Certification.
This third-year specialisation course is accredited by Teesside University, in Middlesbrough, England, and grants a qualification equivalent to the third year of the British higher education system (Level 6 – 120 ECTS*).

Application Process
- Schedule a personal interview, please contact info@eticalgarve.com or call 289 823 359 / 960 309 550.
- Completion of application form (sent by e-mail after scheduling the interview)
- Attend the previously scheduled interview with the Academic Director, at which you must present your portfolio, if you have one.
- Wait for notification of the application result. Enrolment takes place between March and September, until the start of classes, and while there are places available on the courses. Enrolment can be completed after the admission requirements have been verified and upon payment of the enrolment fee and presentation of:
- Curriculum / Biography
- 1 passport-type photograph, in digital format
- Certificate of qualifications
- Applicant’s documents (ID card / Citizen Card + Taxpayer Card + Proof of address: electricity, water or telephone bill, or driving licence)
- Fill in and sign the registration form and training contract.
