A producer and DJ for over 25 years, originally from the Algarve, he has been performing all over the country, either solo or with his various projects, under the names Gijoe (as a DJ) and SICKONCE (as a producer).
He is a member of the management team at the independent record label Kimahera, which has released more than 40 albums over the last 20 years.
His discography, comprising albums and EPs in both physical and digital formats, already includes more than 30 releases.
He set up his own music production studio in Portimão, GRANULAR Studio, where he has produced numerous projects across various musical genres, including MAZARIN, Lana Gasparøtti, DOMI and Bandua for the song contest, amongst others, as well as sound for theatre, dance and film productions. He is involved in projects such as TRIBRUTO, Deep:her (Gijoe + Emmy Curl), REFLECT, MODA VESTRA (with accordionist João Frade), Bullet (with Armando Teixeira) and Perigo Público, amongst others.
The stages he has graced have been incredibly varied, ranging from bars, nightclubs, clubs, festivals, private events, theatres, libraries, auditoriums and sporting events, with some particularly noteworthy ones including: Rock In Rio, MeoSW (Sudoeste), TEMPO (Portimão Municipal Theatre), Academic Weeks and Queimas das Fitas (across the country), Casa da Música (Porto), Music Box, Festival MED (Loulé), Festival F (Faro), SUM Silves, LUX, Bafo de Baco (Loulé), Rebel Bingo, Cabaré (Faro), Hardclub (Porto), LX Factory, Avante, Santiago Alquimista, with over a thousand performances already under their belt.
At its core lies hip-hop, its techniques, the use of the turntable as a musical instrument and some of its aesthetic elements, complemented by electronic music and bass music. Proof of this is the fact that he has been invited to teach and coordinate the music production courses at Etic_Algarve, as well as the many workshops he has run.
