How to bring the impossible to life with creativity and technique
ETIC_Algarve’s Video Post-Production and VFX Course is an advanced, technical and creative training programme that prepares you to work in the field of video post-production and visual effects. It is suitable for those who already have a basic understanding of video and wish to develop their skills further. This course enables you to master video editing, digital compositing and VFX integration, using industry-standard software to create striking visual experiences in cinematic and audiovisual contexts, so that you can become a professional video editor.
On the Video Post-Production and VFX Course, you will learn:
- Digital compositing and integration of VFX with live action footage
- 3D tracking and object animation
- Grading and colour correction
Motion graphics and CGI (Computer Graphic Imagery)
Throughout this advanced course, you will work with professional software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender, DaVinci Resolve and Red Giant, developing projects that combine live-action and digital elements.
Upon completing the Technical Course in Video Post-Production and VFX, you will be equipped to create a professional portfolio that is competitive in the national and international VFX market, opening doors to careers in film, advertising, music videos and multimedia content.
At the end of this Specialisation Course, you will have the opportunity to participate in an ERASMUS+ European mobility project, enjoying an enriching international experience through an internship.
ETIC_Algarve also offers an optional 320-hour Extra Curricular Internship through the JUMP programme – Support for Professional Integration, for a confident entry into the job market.

Requirements
- Intermediate computer skills – familiarity with using computers and editing or design software (such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent basic programmes).
Basic multimedia skills: Previous experience
in video editing, animation or motion graphics design.- Fluency in Portuguese and English.

- Attend the previously scheduled interview with the Academic Director, at which you must present your portfolio, if you have one.

Enrolment takes place between March and September, until the start of classes, and while there are places available on the courses.
Enrolment can be completed after the admission requirements have been verified and upon payment of the enrolment fee and presentation of:- Curriculum / Biography
