ETIC_Algarve’s Video Post-Production and VFX Course is an advanced, technical and creative training programme designed for those who wish to develop skills in the field of audiovisual post-production and visual effects. Suitable for those who already have a basic understanding of video and wish to deepen their technical knowledge, this video post-production course enables you to master video editing, digital compositing and VFX integration using tools employed in the film and audiovisual production industries.
Throughout this course, you will develop skills in professional video editing, motion graphics, CGI, 3D tracking and visual compositing, learning how to create striking visual experiences for film projects, advertising, music videos and multimedia content.
With a practical, market-oriented approach, this course gives you a real-world insight into the audiovisual industry through creative projects and techniques used in a professional setting. On this video post-production course in the Algarve, you will work on advanced digital post-production processes and visual development for a range of audiovisual formats.
On the Video Post-Production and VFX Course, you will learn:
- Digital compositing and integration of VFX with live action footage
3D tracking and object animation
- Grading and colour correction
Motion graphics and CGI (Computer Graphic Imagery)
Throughout this advanced course, you will work with professional software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender, DaVinci Resolve and Red Giant, developing projects that combine live-action and digital elements.
Upon completing the Technical Course in Video Post-Production and VFX, you will be equipped to create a professional portfolio that is competitive in the national and international VFX market, opening doors to careers in film, advertising, music videos and multimedia content.
At the end of this Specialisation Course, you will have the opportunity to participate in an ERASMUS+ European mobility project, enjoying an enriching international experience through an internship.
ETIC_Algarve also offers an optional 320-hour Extra Curricular Internship through the JUMP programme – Support for Professional Integration, for a confident entry into the job market.
Requirements
- Intermediate computer skills – familiarity with using computers and editing or design software (such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent basic programmes).
Basic multimedia skills: Previous experience
in video editing, animation or motion graphics design.- Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Enrolment takes place between March and September, until the start of classes, and while there are places available on the courses.
Enrolment can be completed after the admission requirements have been verified and upon payment of the enrolment fee and presentation of:
- Curriculum / Biography
- 1 passport-type photograph, in digital format
- Certificate of qualifications
- Documents of the Applican (Identity Card / Citizen Card + Taxpayer Card + Proof of address: electricity, water, telephone bill or driving licence)
